Decatur Arts Festival

I nearly lost my right foot/leg to this one. This part of the street was closed to traffic and I had got comfortable with this. However, a moving van was backing up as my right foot went off the curb to support the perspective of this shot. People coming out of the restaurant (Leon's) to my right began shouting to get my attention or the driver. The vans back tire bumped into the curb a millisecond of me leaping up to the side walk.

Jaywalker

Women have always seemed more graceful than men at jaywalking to me. I mean not for just obvious hetero attraction reasons. A guy jaywalking just seems like a jerk in a hurry. Something sort of cosmo about a sophisticated gal sprinting across the street. I believe it screams "stop the traffic".

Made In The 90's With A 50's Inspiration

This young lady confirmed her dress was a thrift purchase and believed it was made in the 90's. I didn't ask how she knew this. We both agreed it had a 50's appeal. Her fella kindly stepped aside and encouraged her photograph solo. High 5 to him, since he didn't quite fit the iteneray of thrift or vintage.

Ponce De Leon Ave. Decatur

I'm not always certain that a subject in the photograph is wearing vintage or thrift. However, I attempt to capture a scene that exudes someone that is economical, resourceful or just plain thrifty with sophistication.

Hwy 54 N. Jonesboro Rd. South Atlanta

I came across this gentleman at a corner bus stop on Hwy 54 in South Atlanta. This area I don't frequent for various reasons I won't bother mentioning. I'll just say it's close to a Federal Prison, the airport and it's an industrial area just south of the city.  I thought I'd drive into town this route today after donating my old clothes dryer at a thrift store in the city of Forest Park, where I just happened to find a handsome pair of two tone brown Dexter Oxfords for $3.50. Anyhow I digress, he certainly stood out from every one else, as this is not typical dress for this region of town. I wished I could have captured others nearby for the contrast. I just know that when I saw him, he surprised me like anyone that dresses with class, despite their means.
